The Winter Edit

I know I have been really M.I.A for the last month or so, but I’m back, yay! And i’m back with The Winter Edit, yes,  It’s time for me to crack out all that there is to offer when it comes to my favourite festive beauty picks.

Now i know I’m not alone when i say that Red lips are a must have for this time of year, whether you prefer deep burgundies, a vibrant pop of colour or even a matte finish. For me, i like something in between, which is why i’ve picked the Loreal lipstick in Diamontise. I bought this last year for their Christmas collection, so I’m not 100% sure if they still sell it, but if they don’t, then Loreal would still have to be my favourite in terms of drugstore lipstick formulas, and I’m sure you’ll find a colour similar out of their huge shade range.

Alternatively, if you’re not one for a full on bold lip, and tend to stick more towards the balm kind of things, Maybelline Baby Lips in the shade Cherry would be perfect for you. It leaves your lips not only moisturised but also with a red tint, perfect for Christmas!

Recently I have been obsessed with gold eyeshadow, and one in particular from the Loreal quad in the shade Beige Trench. It has just the right about of shimmer mixed in with glitter to leave your eyes looking gorgeous. I like to keep the eyes simple however, as the lips make a statement. Maybe add a little eyeliner, mascara and you’re good to go.

Time for the cheeks, and i’ve been loving Illamasqua’s blush in the shade Beg. Although it’s a deep wine shade, when applied with a light enough hand it leaves you with the most stunning tint to your cheeks! Although one I would really recommend for this look is Benefit’s Benetint. Not only will it last all day/night long, but it’s easy to apply and leaves you with a natural blush to the face.

Nail time, wooo! I’m going to do a separate post on how I do my nails for the festive season, but a little sneak peak just for you. I always wear the same colour every year, don’t ask me why, it’s just out of habit. Barry M’s Raspberry topped with Barry M Rose Quartz on the nail finger for a pop of glitter. It never fails to look great.

This time of year, there has to be only one perfume for me, and that’s Gucci Guilty. I’m not even going to attempt (and fail) at describing the scent as i’m sure i’ll just embarrass myself and I won’t do it justice. But believe me, it smells amazing!!
